  This is without a doubt the worst, most poorly run dental office we've ever had the misfortune to deal with. They constantly schedule and then cancel appointments. If you have no staff on Saturdays, why do you book appointments on Saturdays? Today they tried to re-book an appointment for the 3rd time, with the excuse that the doctor has an emergency. In 2 weeks. The staff are rude and poorly trained. I spent an entire day on the phone setting up accounts and appointments for my parents. The intake employee insisted that she verified the insurance and that it is accepted at Q Dental. It took multiple calls to accomplish this, only to have a different person call the next day to tell me it was a total waste of time; they don't accept Aetna insurance. The Q certainly does not stand for quality.

  I had major reconstructive work done. I had crown work on ALL of my teeth. Dr. Lewis was great! He is friendly, competent, efficient and has a great sense of humor. The staff at the Penfield office are pleasant and professional. Dental Assistant Kara provides excellent support with each visit. The Office Manager Jeffery is skilled at running the operations and making adjustments when needed. The appointment wait times were always less than 5 minutes. Overall, an A+ experience. One more thing ... I saved a TON of money going to Dr. Lewis over a typical prosthodontist for this work. If you have major reconstructive work to be performed, I recommend you plan a year in advance. Get a good DMO insurance plan during your open enrollment period, shop around then talk to Dr Steve Lewis. Dr. Lewis has the skills & experience to help you. His work comes with a guarantee to fix any issues free of charge.

  First, let me say that I had great experiences with the hygienists and dentists at Q Dental. Unfortunately, I ended up losing a lot of money due to their arrogant billing department. I was over-billed after an appointment at Q Dental. When I got my statement of benefits showing that I was charged too much, I called the billing dept to try to correct the matter. The person I spoke to (who will remain nameless as I was told there were two people there by that name) was extremely arrogant, and reluctantly said a check would be issued for the amount I was overcharged. This turned out to be a false promise, as I had to badger them for over 6 weeks to send a check. When I did finally receive a check, they immediately put a stop payment order on it (unbeknownst to me) , causing me to have to pay return check charges at my bank. As I had paid the initial charge on my Visa, I filed a dispute and Visa quickly refunded my money. If you choose to go to Q Dental I would advise you to always pay via credit card and watch your statements closely to make sure you are not charged more than is due. If you do find an error, skip the billing dept and resolve it with your credit card company. You'll be glad you did! I wouldn't be surprised to see this branch make the news.
